- The side panel opens alongside Gmail
- Sign in with Google (same account as the web app)
Creating Entries from Emails
This is the main workflow:
- Open an email in Gmail
- The extension reads the email context (subject, sender, thread)
- AI generates a suggested entry with:
- Customer (matched from your list)
- Service (matched from your list)
- Estimated hours
- Professional description
- Review and adjust any fields
- Click Save
The entry is created in your organization and will sync to QuickBooks on the next cycle.
Better suggestions over time
The AI matches customers and services from your organization's lists. The more complete your customer and service setup, the more accurate the suggestions.
AI Description Tools
When creating or editing an entry in the extension, the description field includes two AI buttons:
- Fix Grammar: Cleans up spelling, grammar, and punctuation while keeping the meaning
- Rewrite: Rewrites your description in a professional, client-ready tone
See AI Features for more details.
Manual Entries
You can also create entries manually from the extension without email context:
- Click New Entry in the side panel
- Fill in the fields manually
- Click Save
Recent Entries
When no email is selected, the extension shows your recent time entries. Click any entry to edit it.
Features
- AI entry generation from email context
- Grammar fix & rewrite for descriptions
- Organization switching (if you belong to multiple orgs)
- Time entry locking enforcement (locked entries show 🔒)
- Offline-aware: shows connection status

The extension requests these Chrome permissions:
